Mobile coverage in Switzerland is remarkably good given the challenging Alpine terrain. Cities like Zurich, Geneva, Bern, Basel, and Lucerne have excellent 5G and LTE coverage. The famous scenic train routes — the Glacier Express, Bernina Express, and GoldenPass — have coverage for most of their journeys, though tunnels cause brief interruptions. Major ski resorts (Zermatt, St. Moritz, Grindelwald, Verbier) have strong coverage in the villages, with signal available on many lifts and slopes.
One critical consideration: Switzerland is NOT part of the EU, so EU roaming plans typically do not include Switzerland.
