The break-even point is roughly 8-10GB of usage — above that, Holafly's unlimited plan is the better value.

Holafly occasionally offers discount codes (5-10% off) through travel bloggers and influencer partnerships. They also run seasonal sales around peak travel periods. There's no referral program like Airalo's, but the discounts are easy to find with a quick search.

Holafly covers 60+ countries — significantly fewer than Airalo's 200+. Their strongest coverage is in Europe, Southeast Asia, and Latin America. If you're traveling to a popular tourist destination, Holafly likely has you covered. For more obscure destinations, check their website first.

Network quality is generally excellent in Holafly's supported countries. They partner with premium carriers (e.g., Softbank in Japan, Movistar in Spain) and provide 4G/LTE speeds in most markets. Some plans offer 5G where available.

The unlimited data applies to your phone's connection. Some plans support hotspot/tethering, but not all — and those that do may have separate limits on hotspot usage (e.g., 500MB/day for hotspot even on an unlimited phone plan). Always check the plan details.

Holafly's setup process is straightforward. Purchase on their website or app, receive a QR code via email, scan it on your phone, and you're connected. The whole process takes about 5 minutes.
